Having sound problems after I downgraded from vista to xp, and I need help? - sound problems with matsui dvd tv combo

I recently downgraded from Windows Vista Home Premium Windows XP and now I can get my sound up and running. They do not know if I need a driver or what, and who had similar problems and what to do to help would be appreciated! I currently use a Gateway desktop GTS426E if it helps.
